Status of the Nation’s Water Infrastructure
RCAP Rural Matters: In 2009, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), which regularly evaluates infrastructure in each industry, graded the country’s water and wastewater infrastructure with a D-minus. ASCE has since indicated that it is aging, overburdened, and that current investment is not keeping up with the need.
